We’re delighted to announce that Yare Electrical is sponsoring Norfolk County Cricket Club for the new season — and you’ll now spot our name on the shirts and pitch-side every match day.
Backing grassroots sport in our community
Grassroots clubs are the heart of Norfolk sport. They give young players somewhere to learn the game, keep people active, and bring whole communities together every weekend through the summer. But running a club isn’t cheap — kit, equipment, ground maintenance and travel all add up, and most clubs rely entirely on volunteers and local backing to keep going.
That’s exactly where we wanted to help. Our sponsorship goes towards the team’s kit and running costs, so the players can focus on what they do best: turning out, putting in the hard yards, and enjoying their cricket.
Why it matters to us
Yare Electrical has been a Norwich business since 2004. The homeowners, landlords and companies we work for are our neighbours, and the community that’s supported us for more than 20 years is one we genuinely care about. Supporting cricket here in Norfolk is a small way of putting something back.
“Yare Electrical has always been a Norwich firm, born and raised here, and we believe in putting something back into the community that’s supported us for over 20 years. Sponsoring the club was an easy decision. There’s a lot of hard work, discipline and team spirit in grassroots cricket — the same values we try to bring to every job we do. We’re proud to see our name on the shirts, and we’ll be cheering the lads on all season.”
— Shaun Moore, Director, Yare Electrical
More than a name on a shirt
For us, sponsorship is about more than advertising. The values that make a good cricket team — reliability, teamwork, turning up when you say you will and doing the job properly — are the same ones we’ve built our reputation on as NICEIC-approved electricians across Norfolk and Suffolk.
We’ll be following the team’s results throughout the season and sharing their progress, so keep an eye on our page for updates. To everyone at the club: good luck, play well, and enjoy every game.
If your club, charity or community group is looking for local support, we’re always happy to hear from fellow Norfolk organisations — get in touch. And if you need a trusted local electrician for your home or business, you can request a free quote here.
